A 4-year-old boy was seriously hurt when he fell out of a minivan and the van ran over him Monday afternoon in Clearfield County.
Police say 42-year-old Michelle Endicott of Penfield was driving the van while the 4-year-old and a 9-year-old boy were sitting on the floor of the seating area with their feet dangling outside of the van’s opened sliding door. The 4-year-old fell out of the van when it hit a pothole. When the 9-year-old tried to grab a hold of the younger boy, he fell out, too.
One of the back tires of the van ran over the younger boy, who was flown by STAT MedEvac helicopter to UPMC Pittsburgh for treatment. The 9-year-old has moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois.
The investigation is continuing.
