Today is patriot day, the day we remember those who were killed or injured on 9/11 2001, one of the worst terrorist attacks to take place on American soil. This morning President Trump spoke at the pentagon the sight of one of those terrorist attacks, while Vice President Pence gave a moving speech at Shanksville Pennsylvania in honor of those who died on Flight 93. Pence, who was a representative from Indiana at the time, was at the Capital Building on 9/11. He said he would have probably died that day if it were not for the brave passengers of Flight 93. The Capital Building was believed to be the target of a terrorists attack that day. Locally St. Bonaventure University held a prayer service at the college’s 9/11 memorial this morning. Tonight the fireman’s monument in oak hill cemetery in Bradford will be illuminated in honor of the 16th anniversary of 9/11. Also, local first responders are invited to an appreciation dinner on Tuesday hosted by the Bradford VFW Post 212.
