The third of three men accused of breaking into Camp Penuel in Eldred, making s’mores and spending the night, has waived his preliminary hearing.
24-year-old Stephen Capitani, along with his co-defendants allegedly broke into the camp on June 14. An employee caught them sleeping in a staff dorm. She went to another building to call 911 and, during that time, they woke up and left. But the worker saw the license plate number of their car and gave it to police.
Capitani is free on bail. The other men, 22-year-old Trey Nothem and 22-year-old Ryan Walsh, both of Portville, waived their hearings earlier this month.
