A man accused of taking Foster Township and Braford City police on both a car chase and a foot chase, on consecutive days, has waived his preliminary hearings.
29-year-old James Bunce of Rew is accused of driving a car that took police on a chase from Woodlawn Avenue in the city to the top of Rew Hill on April 7. Police lost sight of the car near the top of the hill, but say it was going more than 90 mph on South Kendall Avenue.
Police say Bunce was with Cliff Causer, and they had both absconded from parole in Erie.
The next day, police saw Bunce on East Main Street andĀ attempted to take him into custody, but court papers say he jumped out of the car in the parking lot of Hamlin Bank and ran into the woods. Police caught up with him within minutes.
