A Chautauqua County woman tried to scam a Dollar General store out of $50 bucks, but those pesky security cameras did her in.
Police say 26-year-old Emily Walker of Sherman asked a cashier for change for a $50 bill and, when the cashier wasn’t looking, she took the $50 off the counter and put in her pocket. When the cashier asked where it was, Walker said it was already in the register. The cashier then gave Walker the change, and later learned her drawer was $50 short. Employees looked at surveillance footage and saw Walker pocket the 50.
Walker was charged with petit larceny and released with a court appearance ticket.
