An asphalt tanker rolled over Monday evening on Route 6 after turning west off the Glade Bridge, shutting down traffic between the bridge and Mohawk Avenue in Warren.
A Hazmat team was on the scene to contain the flow of asphalt while they were waiting for an empty tanker to get there so they could pump out the remaining asphalt from the tipped over tanker. The accident happened on the opposite side of the road from the Allegheny River.
No one was hurt.
The truck is owned by a Pittsburgh-area construction company, which will pay for the cleanup.
Traffic was detoured through Warren by way of the Route 6 bypass and Glade Bridge.
