A baby bald eagle has died just days after thousands of people watched it hatch, on the state game commission’s website.
A camera is livestreaming from the nest near a state park in Hanover.
Game commission spokesman Travis Lau says the baby bird was seen moving in the nest and its parents were feeding it, but later it wasn’t moving.
Lau says that while the live stream provides an opportunity to see wildlife in its natural setting sometimes that may include scenes that are difficult to watch.
He says the game commission will not intervene in the situation.
