A Bradford woman is facing firearms charges after trying to purchase a handgun in September. Court records say that 47 year-old Myra Meacham answered no to a question on the sales form asking if she ever had been convicted of a felony criminal charge while trying to buy a handgun from McKean County E-Sales in Smethport. And, court records also show that Meacham pleaded guilty in 2007 to felony welfare fraud and that conviction prohibits her from owning a firearm.
