Buffalo Bills wide receiver Anquan Boldin has announced his retirement.
Boldin, the 16 year-veteran had just signed a free agent contract with the Bills two weeks ago, but is leaving the NFL to devote his energy to his humanitarian work. The bills issued a statement, “We respect Anquan’s decision to retire from the NFL. We appreciate the time he gave us over the past two weeks. He is one of the best receivers to play this game and wish him and his family all the best moving forward,” Bills GM Bill Beane, Buffalo Bills. He walks away from the game with 1,076 receptions for 13,779 yards and 82 touchdowns. He won a Super Bowl with Baltimore Ravens in 2012.
