Police have charged a Bradford man with several traffic-related offenses following a hit and run on Main Street Thursday night.
24-year-old James Jackman III was behind a motorcycle that had slowed down for pedestrians in a crosswalk. Surveillance video shows that after the motorcycle stopped for the pedestrians, Jackman’s vehicle accelerated and hit the motorcycle, sending the operator onto the hood of his vehicle and then to the ground. She was taken to BRMC for treatment of moderate injuries.
Jackman is then seen pulling into a parking lot on Festival Way, where he sat for about 10 seconds and then drove through an alley between several buildings. He turned himself in at the police station about two hours later.
After arraignment, Jackman was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
