The Atlanta Braves rallied past the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday night, winning 8-7 in 11 innings on WESB Sports. Austin Riley tied the game with a solo homer in the ninth inning and scored the winning run on Ozzie Albies’ RBI double in the 11th. Josh Bell had hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the top of the ninth, but the Braves rallied in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings. Pirates rookie Kevin Newman added a two run double. Mitch Keller, making his second career start for the Bucs, allowed six runs and 10 hits in three innings. Rain delayed the game for 55 minutes in the seventh.
