The two men accused of conspiring with a Bradford man to break into Stoney North and steal thousands of dollars’ worth of chain saws have been arraigned by District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Court papers say 45-year-old Michael Randolph and 39-year-old James Hammond Jr. met 31-year-old James Buncewhile they were in state prison together and in a gang called the “Pale Kings.”
Bunce drove a stolen pickup to the store, where Randolph and Hammond broke the glass door and then stole nearly $3,000 worth of power equipment. Bunce allegedly set the truck on fire later.
The three are also suspects in a camp burglary in Rew, where a motorcycle, TVs, microwaves, and several other items were taken.
Hammond is in the state prison in Greene County; Randolph is at Laurel Highlands. Bunce is in McKean County Jail and scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the camp burglary charges tomorrow. He has already had preliminary hearings on the other charges, which were bound to court.
