The second of two men whose attempted burglary of an Olean house led to the lockdown of an elementary school and a bank will spend up to seven years in state prison.
30-year-old Paul Tyler of Cuba, New York, tried to break into a house on the afternoon of October 26. When an alarm went off he ran away. The school and bank were on lockdown while police were looking for him.
Police found him about half an hour later near the crime scene.
His co-defendant, 31-year-old Eric Hagen of Olean, was sentenced last week to 1 to 3 years in state prison.
