The Washington Capitals topped the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday night winning in overtime 4-3. TJ Oshie’s overtime winner at 9:33 of OT completed the hat trick for him and gave the Caps the victory in game one of their Stanley Cup second round series. Ben Lovejoy, Evgeni Malkin and Nick Bonino scored for the Pens who had 45 shots on goal in the loss. The Capitals had 35 shots on Pens goalie Matt Murray. Game two is Saturday night, also in Washington, DC.
