State Representative Marty Causer told WESB following Governor Wolf’s budget address that he had hoped the governor would come up with a reasonable proposal and try to work with the Legislature to complete the current budget, and then move forward. But instead, he antagonized the Legislature.
Although Wolf didn’t mention any of his tax proposals in his speech, Causer says the plan includes keeping the state sales tax at 6 percent, but expanding it to include movie tickets, cable TV, digital downloads and more.
Also, the personal income tax would increase from 3.07 percent to 3.4 percent. But, Causer says, the increase isn’t even the worst part.

Causer will be on an upcoming LiveLine to talk in depth about the new budget proposal.
