Charges against a Kane man accused of injuring a three-month-old girl at a home in Wetmore Township last month have been bound to court following a hearing in front of District Judge David Engman.
According to court records, 25-year-old Todd Long is was home alone with his several children when, he says, the infant fell off a bed. He says when he tried to pick her up, he dropped her and she hit either a corner of the bed, a reclining chair or a fan.
About an hour later she was taken to Kane Community Hospital, where they found she had bleeding on the brain in two places, bruising on her face and her buttocks. The baby was then flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Long was released from McKean County Jail today after posting bail.
