It’s not very often that Bradford City Council observes a moment of silence for someone who did not work for the city.
They made an exception last night for 10-year-old Aiden Davis, who battled cancer for most of his life, a fight that was noted by Mayor Tom Riel.
Aiden passed away Friday night. His funeral was held today, and included an escort by the Bradford police and fire departments, which both made him an honorary member. Township departments participated as well.
Riel also mentioned last night that Aiden spent quite a bit of time in city hall .
Council also observed a moment of silence for longtime firefighter Merle Silvis, who passed away last week as well.
