Hundreds of inmates are on their way to Pennsylvania prisons under a deal announced between the Commonwealth and Delaware.
Officials plan to move hundreds of inmates from the site of a deadly inmate uprising to Pennsylvania prisons. The agreement calls for Pennsylvania to accept up to 330 Delaware inmates, and for Delaware to pay Pennsylvania $123 per inmate per day.
Officials say the selected inmates have more than five years remaining on their sentences. No word yet on which correctional facilities will host the inmates.
