Charges against a Bradford woman accused of hitting her infant with a chair she threw at her boyfriend, and not immediately seeking medical treatment have been bound to McKean County Court.
Court papers say police were called to BRMC where a 3-month-old was being treated for shaken baby syndrome and a skull fracture. The baby’s mother, 20-year-old Alana Dinch, made inconsistent statements before finally telling them she and 25-year-old Jonathan Burke had been arguing and she threw a chair at him. It bounced off him and hit the baby in the head. The incident happened about 10 days before they took the infant to the hospital.
Burke was also in district court this morning and waived his preliminary hearing.
