Police are looking for the person who was driving in Norwich Township, knocked a utility pole out of the ground, and then drove away late Friday afternoon.
Witnesses to the accident at the intersection of Route 46 and West Branch Road say the truck had Virginia license plates, and that the driver got of his truck, saw the damage, and then headed south on Route 46.
Police say the driver went off the road, hit a low lying electric line, and pulled a utility pole out of the ground, causing it and the wires to cross Route 46 on the ground.
Norwich Township volunteer firefighters provided traffic control until the scene was cleared.
