JAWS The Musical is back! When BLT did this show a few years ago people could not get enough and have been asking for it again ever since! We are now thrilled to be offering this show as a dinner theatre and fundraiser production with the Limestone Volunteer Firemen Department. The admission includes the dinner (the FAMOUS Limestone VFD fish fry dinner), one drink ticket, and the show. Throughout the night there will be fun games, raffles, auctions, 50/50’s and more to benefit the firemen and Bradford Little Theatre.
This musical follows a similar storyline as the 1975 movie JAWS but adds several whimsical songs including “You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat,” “Chrissie’s Last Swim,” “This is What Happens,” and “Summer Dollars.”
Martin Brody is the new Chief of Police on Amity Island. He and his family left New York City for a more relaxed life where “no one ever gets hurt or dies” until there is a report of a missing girl at the beach. Brody and his supporters, including the town deputy, his wife Ellen and shark scientist Matt Hooper all want to close down the beach. They find themselves up against Mayor Vaughn, his “mayorettes” and several islanders who rely on Amity Island’s beach to remain open in order to keep those “summer dollars” rolling in. Enter Quint, the rugged fisherman who has no fear and takes Brody and Hooper out to sea to kill the shark.
Doors will open at 5:30pm, dinners, games and raffles will be from 5:30-7:45pm, and the show will start at 8:00pm. Everyone is asked to arrive by 6pm to not miss any of the excitement and to make sure everyone can enjoy their meal before the show. The show’s proceeds benefit Bradford Little Theatre and the Limestone VFD. Tickets are available at Togi’s Family Restaurant, Graham Florist, and Bella Capelli in Bradford and Limestone’s Firemen’s Club in Limestone, NY. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bradfordlittletheatre.org or by calling Chelsea Place at 814-598-9956. Groups of 6 or more are encouraged to call Place so that seating arrangements can be reserved for the group. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door if available, but people are urged to buy ahead as this show is highly anticipated. BLT season ticket holders are asked to call and reserve their tickets for the night they wish to attend.
