Grab your lawn chairs and head to the Allegany State Park Quaker Beach area to celebrate our nation’s independence! The fun starts at 4:00 p.m. on July 3rd with a chicken barbecue (until sold out) by the Coldspring Volunteer Fire Department. Also starting at 4:00 p.m. and running until 6:00 p.m. park interpretive staff will be on hand to “Ask the Naturalist.” They’ll have lots of cool things to look at and will be available to answer your nature-related questions. Live music. Capping off this fun-filled night will be a spectacular fireworks display over the waters of Quaker Lake. A sight definitely not to be missed! While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the Quaker Bathhouse and playground – brand new additions to the park in 2016! For more information call at 716-354-2182.
