The Mckean County Kids Fest was held Saturday at the YMCA in Bradford. About 75 non-profit and local businesses attended Kids Fest to promote child safety, good health, and child development. Lee Sizemore is one of the organizers of the Mckean County Kids Fest, which is now in its seventh year. We spoke with Sizemore about the Mckean county Kids Fest event.
One of the main highlights of this year’s Kids Fest was the appearance of the Hershey KissMobile. A representative of the Hershey Corporation was there to promote the Milton Hershey School. The school helps underprivileged kids to get a quality education. Local firefighters and various police organizations were also on hand to talk to parents and kids about child safety. These are just a few of the many groups who came out to support kids and their families. Even WESB’s own Dan Griffin was on hand to provide music and to give away prizes to those in attendance. Over 150 volunteers came out to help with Saturday’s Mckean County Kids Fest event.
