Bradford, PA 16701
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford vocal arts ensemble will hold a spring concert at noon April 12 in the Studio Theater of Blaisdell Hall.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, is part of the university’s Spectrum series. A light lunch will be served as part of the event.
“We will be doing a program entitled ‘The Working Life,’ with a mixture of pieces from different styles, including popular music selections by Bruce Springsteen, Pete Seegers, and Dolly Parton, folk songs, and classical works,” said Dr. Joshua Groffman, assistant professor of music and director of the group. “The group has made great musical progress this semester and we’ve had a lot of fun putting this concert together.”
Solos will be performed by Brooke Imbriale, Lanessa Hickman, Katey Pacific, and Kelly Goble. Piano accompaniment will be provided by Sydney Ellison, who will also perform a solo. The Vocal Arts Ensemble rehearses and performs throughout the school year on the Pitt-Bradford campus and at select off-campus locations.
