Stargazing can be a relaxing hobby whether you are an astronomy enthusiast or not. On Wednesday April 4, 2018, the Environmental Educational and Recreation Department will be holding the Outdoor Adventure series on star watching from 7:00-9:00 PM. Come explore the stars with Tom Traub from the Martz Observatory. Want to know if you’re looking at a star or a planet? Can’t tell the constellations apart? Come join us as Tom gives a talk on astronomy and the wonders of the sky and brings his 8”telescope for optimal viewing. Sunset is at 7:21 pm and Venus will be visible just after sunset.
In the event of rain or cloud cover, Tom will still give a slideshow presentation in the great room of the Quaker Bathhouse on the stars and planets.
This free event takes place at the Quaker Bathhouse.
The Outdoor Adventure Series is a great way to learn about all the fun activities offered within Allegany State Park- Western New York’s Playground.
