Evergreen Elm is one of the newest agencies to receive funding from the United Way of the Bradford Area, and director Debbie Price says the impact has been incredible and almost instantaneous.
One grant went toward a therapeutic swimming program and, she says, while all the people in it are seeing benefits, people with autism have been making noteworthy progress.
If your business would like to contribute to this year’s United Way campaign, you can get involved in Friday’s Business Blitz – and get a little free publicity, too.
The Blitz is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but WESB’s Casey Smith will be broadcasting live from the United Way from 10 a.m. to noon and, if you bring in your pledge before noon, he’ll read your business’s name on the air.
