Smoking Electrical Wires Reported at Williams St Residence Monday

The City of Bradford Fire Department were dispatched to a smoking bathroom at a Williams Street residence Monday afternoon.

Firefighters made entry into the home to find an electrical issue was occurring, quickly filling the house with smoke, flickering the lights and there was an arching sound that could be heard in the ceiling.

Firefighters shut the power off at the panel and searched the home for any fire, after finding none, the smoke was evacuated from the home.

Rochester Man Charged with Felony After Olean Traffic Stop

A Rochester man was arrested on a felony charge after a traffic stop in Olean Monday night.

New York State Police charged 32-year-old Johnny Jakeem Jackson with felony aggravated unlicensed operation after a permanent revocation.

Jackson was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Allegany Woman Charged with Stealing from Walmart Multiple Times

An Allegany woman was charged Monday with shoplifting from Walmart twice on Friday.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 33-year-old Veronica J. Quijano with two counts of Petit Larceny.

Quijano was released with an appearance ticket and will appear at Allegany Town Court at a later date.

Bradford Man Charged After Drunken Hit-And-Run & Firearm Incident

A Bradford man was arrested after a hit-and-run on Mechanic Street followed by a gun incident early Sunday morning.

City of Bradford Police charged 34-year-old Parker Michael Gorrell with Terroristic threats, Reckless endangerment, Simple assault by physical menace, Harassment, Disorderly conduct, Damaging an attended vehicle or property with a vehicle, Public drunkenness, Reckless driving, Abandoning a vehicle on a highway, Driving upon a sidewalk and Failure to stop & provide information and render aid.

The charges stem from Gorrell’s silver Jeep allegedly striking an occupied vehicle and speeding from the scene failing to stop at a red light at the intersection of Mechanic Street and West Washington Street.

Officers were then dispatched to South Kendall Ave for multiple reports of a man in the roadway with a shotgun.

Upon arrival, Gorrell was standing in the roadway of South Kendall Ave with his arms raised, a shotgun in the west lane and the disabled Jeep in the east lane.

Gorrell was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during the incident.

He was remanded to the McKean County Jail on $250,000 bail.

A Great Valley woman was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on N Union St in Olean Thursday afternoon.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 50-year-old Patricia A Crowe, the passenger of the vehicle, after she was allegedly found in possession of narcotics.

Crowe was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the City of Olean Court at a later date for arraignment.

Randolph Resident Arrested on Warrant in Salamanca

A Randolph resident was arrested on a warrant in Salamanca Thursday.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Jessie Fuller on an active Cattaraugus County Bench Warrant.

Fuller was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail to be held pending arraignment.

Olean Man Arrested on Felony Warrant Sunday

An Olean man was arrested on a warrant early Sunday morning.

Olean Police arrested 24-year-old Kameron M Ertell on a Felony Arrest Warrant stemming from an indictment out of Cattaraugus County Court.

Ertell was turned over to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies and was held at the Cattaraugus County Jail awaiting further court proceedings.

Catt County Inmate Charged with Calling Woman with Restraining Order Against Him

A Little Valley man who was an inmate of the Cattaraugus County Jail was charged with a felony on Friday night.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 32-year-old Denzell J. Leonard for felony Criminal Contempt.

The charge stems from Leonard allegedly calling a woman who had a full stay away order of protection against him two times while in custody at the Cattaraugus County Jail.

Leonard was given an appearance tickets then turned back over to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
