New York State Police charged 55-year-old Sandra M. Bailey for criminal mischief with intent to damage property.

Bailey was held pending central arraignment.

38-year-old Michael Cunningham was sentenced to 77 to 160 months in state prison and an additional one year of supervision post-release.

Cunningham was recommended by the court to participate in drug treatment while incarcerated.

The judge also gave Cunningham a consecutive sentence for the crime of Criminal Use of a Communication Device.

22-year-old Lex Michael Gourley was sentenced to 36 ½ to 78 months in state prison after he previously pled guilty to felony Possession with Intent to Deliver after methamphetamine, fentanyl and oxycodone were found during a search of his vehicle after a traffic stop in October in the City of Bradford.

Gourley also pled guilty to damaging the property of the McKean County Jail after he kicked a window in the institution causing over $1,000 of damage.

Gourley must provide a DNA sample, pay restitution to the Jail, and pay the lab fee.

32-year-old Dantley Robert Curry was sentenced to 8 to 24 months in State Prison and 24 months’ concurrent probation.

He was ordered to submit a DNA sample, pay fines, and additional terms.

Another patient’s family echoed that sentiment, “When my father needed emergent care, Dawn was so warm and friendly. She took time to explain things in a way my family could understand. She went the extra mile to ease my parents’ distress and anxiety. Her focus on providing quality patient care is a wonderful asset.”

The following were also nominated for Star Awards: Tina Baxter, RN, employee health; Catherine Blocher, RN, care management; Angela Halbert, behavioral health unit; Christine Phillips, EVS; Heather Saunders, RN, obstetrics; and Toni Westlake, RN, third floor.

Star award recipients receive a chamber of commerce gift certificate, additional paid time off, a certificate of recognition and the star award parking spot.

The story of the night was the pitching plan — and manager Don Kelly’s blueprint worked to perfection.

Jared Jones started and was sharp — going five scoreless innings, striking out four, and holding Houston to just four hits. Jones needed only 74 pitches to navigate five clean frames before handing it off.

Carmen Mlodzinski then came on in relief and was equally outstanding — tossing four full innings, striking out three, and allowing just one run on four hits. Pittsburgh’s staff held Houston scoreless over the first five innings and limited the Astros to zero-for-eight with runners in scoring position.

Offensively, Ryan O’Hearn continued his hot stretch — going two-for-four with a homer and three R-B-I. Brandon Lowe went two-for-five with a pair of doubles and scored twice. Bryan Reynolds and Oneil Cruz each had multi-hit contributions as well.

Pittsburgh takes their winning ways to Atlanta this weekend for a three-game set against the Braves beginning Friday night.

Rodon was absolutely dealing at Yankee Stadium, tossing six dominant innings against the Cleveland Guardians — allowing just two hits and one run, striking out seven, and throwing 96 pitches in a masterful performance. The Yankees escaped with a 2-1 victory to salvage the final game of the series.

With Rodon sharp, the Yankees bullpen took care of the rest. Brent Headrick earned the win in relief, Fernando Cruz threw a scoreless inning, and David Bednar slammed the door in the ninth for the save.

Offensively, the Bombers were quiet — managing just five hits. Jazz Chisholm Junior drove in a run and scored, Trent Grisham went two-for-four with a double, and Ryan McMahon knocked in the other run. New York went just one-for-three with runners in scoring position but made it count.

Cleveland could manage only two hits on the day. Stuart Fairchild drove in the Guardians’ lone run.

The Yankees now welcome the Boston Red Sox to Yankee Stadium this weekend for a three-game series beginning Friday night.

The Carolina Hurricanes trailed the Vegas Golden Knights by two goals heading into the third period — looking overmatched and staring down an 0-2 series deficit on home ice. Then everything changed.

Carolina rattled off three unanswered goals in just over five minutes to take a 3-2 lead — only to give up a late tying goal that forced overtime. Then came the moment Raleigh had been waiting for.

Jarvis blasted a one-timer on the power play three minutes and fifty-six seconds into overtime to lift the Hurricanes 4-3 — evening the Stanley Cup Final at one game apiece.

It was a breakthrough moment for Jarvis, who had scored just three times in the playoffs heading into the night, and a long-awaited spark for a Carolina power play that had struggled all postseason.

Both teams finished with twenty-six shots on goal. The Hurricanes out-hit the Golden Knights forty-six to twenty-five in a physical, grinding affair.

The series now shifts west — Game 3 is Saturday night in Las Vegas at eight o’clock Eastern on ABC. Series tied — one game apiece.

Cuba Police charged 36-year-old Dakota R. Steiner with DWI, speeding and moving lanes unsafely.

Steiner was processed and released.

New York State Police arrested 35-year-old Lindsey Diane Little on an active criminal warrant.

Little was held for central arraignment.
