Both Rotarians and students from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Rotaract Club volunteered collecting litter and helping improve the appearance and safety of one of the main gateways into the Bradford area.

The Bradford Rotary Club participates in the Adopt-A-Highway program twice each year, maintaining its stretch of road from the state line to Bolivar Drive.

The club extends its thanks to all who volunteered their time and encourages others in the community to take part in future projects.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 27-year-old Christian M. Burdic with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Obstructing Governmental Administration and several Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Burdic allegedly lead police on a chase throughout the Towns of Machias, Farmersville, and Franklinville on a motorcycle.

Burdic was released with an appearance ticket and is due for arraignment at a later date in Franklinville Town Court.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Tamie Messina on an active Violation of Probation Warrant Issued out of Cattaraugus County Court.

Messina was transported to Cattaraugus County Court and held pending an arraignment.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 38-year-old Joelle E. Cooper with Possession of a Controlled Substance, use Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration and Loud Exhaust.

Cooper was allegedly found to be in possession of fentanyl, packaging material and a pipe with residue.

Cooper was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the City of Salamanca Court at a later date for further proceedings.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 50-year-old Brenda L. Anderson with Criminal Mischief and felony Arson.

The charges stem from an investigation where it was allegedly discovered that Anderson had used a lighter to light the toilet paper on fire, causing damage to the toilet paper holder and the wall it was attached to.

Anderson was processed, issued and appearance ticket, and is due back in Olean City Court at a later date.

46-year-old Timothy Williams was sentenced to 22 to 47 years for third-degree murder on Feb. 20, 1999.

He will be eligible for review again in October where the parole board will consider if he maintained a favorable Department of Corrections recommendation and a clear conduct record.

Williams’ maximum sentence date is Feb. 20, 2046.

50-year-old Paul Morrisroe was approved for parole due to his completion of required programming and good behavior.

The Department of Corrections also issued a recommendation for parole with his minimal prior criminal history also taken into account.

He must report in person to his district office within 48 hours of release with his maximum sentence date remaining Jan. 25, 2032.

Morrisroe was previously denied parole last July which the parole board cited lack of remorse, failure to acknowledge responsibility and negative recommendations from then-President Judge John Pavlock and District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer.

Pennsylvania State Police charged 34-year-old Kyle South with felony criminal contempt for the violation of a valid order of protection.

New York State Police charged 28-year-old Shelby T. Watson with felony burglary for illegal entry with intent to commit a crime.

Watson was transferred to the custody of another agency.
