Two people suffered major injuries, and three others were hurt, in a crash last night on Rasselas Road in Elk County.
Police say a car driven by 18-year-old Aaron Garrigan of Emporium was traveling at a high rate of speed when the car went out of control on a railroad crossing, traveled off the road, hit an embankment and rolled multiple times, landing on its roof.
20-year-old Tyler Pharis of Ohio and 20-year-old Brogan Lovette of Emporium suffered major injuries. Injuries to 19-year-old Nathan Andrus and 20-year-old Cain Barr, both of Emporium, were described by police as moderate. Garrigan suffered minor injuries.
Police say alcohol may have been contributing factor in the crash. They are continuing their investigation.
