Fugitive Arraigned on Multiple Charges


A fugitive from justice in McKean County who was picked up Monday at the Seneca Allegany Casino has been arraigned on three cases in district court.

62-year-old Barry Lindsey is charged with unauthorized practice of law, falsely holding a notary public office or professional license, theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking in connection to incidents in Otto Township. He’s facing the same charges for incidents in Bradford Township.

He’s also charged with theft by unlawful taking, deceptive business practices and receiving advance payment for services not provided in connection to incidents in Port Allegany.

All the alleged incidents happened in June of 2014.

Lindsey is jailed on a total of $150,000 bail.

  1. Yeah!! He has been a thorn in my side since 2009 with my perception of what appeared to be fraudulent activities carried out with great charm at the expense of my loved ones. Crazy guy. Years of this pattern. Wish there was a way I could be of some service in helping the victims of his crimes receive retribution and protect society from this predator. Good news and thank you for catching him.
