Mayor Tom Riel has proclaimed Thursday Hagan Kearney in Bradford.
The 26-year-old Bradford native is an Olympic snowboarder, and part of the US four-man snowboardcross team.
Although this is his first time in the Olympics, he has been on the World Cup Circuit since 2012 and has several top ten Nor-Am finishes, and placed fifth at the World Cup in Italy. He has also competed three times in the X-Games, where he has finished in the top ten.
Kearney spent the first eight years of his life in Bradford before moving to Colorado. He is the son of Richard and Barbara Kearney, the grandson of Harriett Wick, and the great-grandson of George G. Blaisdell.
