Oswayo Valley got a 9-5 win at Coudersport Friday.
The Green Wave were down 4-2 at the end of an inning and 5-3 at the end of two before tying the game with a pair of runs in the third and then taking the lead with single runs in the fourth and fifth before getting two insurance runs in the seventh.
Dylan Buchholz and Alex Bernard each had two RBIs for Oswayo Valley. Jacob Karr was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and Garret Babcock was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
Josh Stevens paced Coudersport going 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Garren Black got the win for Oswayo in relief of Brandon Brabham. He went five innings and didn’t allow a run while giving up three hits and two walks and striking out seven. He helped himself at the plate with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
Brabham was surprisingly ineffective in his two innings of work allowing five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three.
Austin Saulter took the loss for Coudersport giving up seven runs on nine hits and five walks while striking out two in 5 ⅓ innings of work.
CAMERON COUNTY 17, GALETON 3, 5-INNINGS
Ty Bauer led a 15-hit attack with three base hits, including a double, as Cameron County rolled to a 17-3, 5-inning win at Galeton.
Bauer was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while Adam Shaffer, Tristan Reed, Nate Munsell and Marcus Brown all had two-hits games.
Evan Brooks was 2-for-3 with an RBI to pace Galeton.
Brown got the win giving up three runs on five hits and five walks while striking out two in 3 ⅓ innings of work.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 4, BROCKWAY 3
Elk Catholic beat Brockway 4-3.
Rosina Nero had three hits for the Lady Crusaders, while Josie Smith and Emily Wolf each added two.
Michelle Gerber got the win tossing a six-hit complete game allowing the three runs.
GALETON 5, CAMERON COUNTY 2
Makayla Shadle struck out 13 and also had three hits to lead Galeton to a 5-2 win over Cameron County.
Shadle scattered five hits and walked three and was 3-for-3 on the other side of the ball with a double and two singles.
Laila Smith had a pair of hits for Cameron County, including a double, while Taylor Johnson drove home a pair with an RBI single and a sacrifice fly.
Smith took the loss giving up five runs on seven hit and a walk while striking out four.
BROOKVILLE 18, KANE 2, 3 INNINGS
Trailing 2-0 in the second inning, Brookville sent 23 batters to the plate and scored 18 runs on their way to an 18-2, 3-inning win over Kane.
Winning pitcher Carlie McManigle had all three of her hits in the second inning, including a double.
In the circle, she struck out six and walked one while giving up four hits.
Elaina Powell, Jordan MacWilliams and Laken Hergert each had two hits. Caitlyn Hill chipped in with a double.
Kane got doubles from Sadie Tunall and Ashley Swanson.
This was the first win for Lady Raiders’ first-year head coach Carlie Cook.
