An Allegany County Jail inmate, who is being held on marijuana and stolen property charges, is now facing criminal mischief charges too an incident that occurred shortly after his incarceration. Police say that 36 year-old Christopher Herron of New Hudson damaged jail property and jeopardized the safety and security of inmates and staff. On November 1, troopers discovered 50 items of stolen property and a marijuana growing operation at Herron’s home during a search warrant execution. They seized 282 marijuana plants and sent Herron to the Allegany County Jail.
