A Kennedy, New York, man is in jail for allegedly charging at a state trooper and trying to punch him during a domestic incident.
Police say when they arrived at the home 40-year-old William Swanson, who they say had just assaulted a family member, was inside the home, breaking it up. They say Swanson charged out the door as a trooper approached.
After a struggle, Swanson was taken into custody and charged with assaulting a police officer, criminal mischief, harassment, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. He’s jailed on $10,000 bail.
