A Bradford man is accused of hitting another man with a chain, and later finding out the man wasn’t his intended victim.
Court papers say at about 11:30 last night on Congress Street 48-year-old John Wilber Krouse Sr. had a chain-like object wrapped around his hand while hitting the victim, while another man held him down.
When police went to Krouse’s apartment his daughter said he left when he found out they were on their way. She said her father was told someone was coming to the apartment with a weapon to get a phone back from her mother. The daughter said her father was drunk and when he saw the victim coming to the door he mistook him for the person he thought was coming with a weapon.
The victim had to be treated at BRMC.
Krouse is in McKean County Jail on $2,500 bail.
If the name John Wilber Krouse sounds familiar, last week 21-year-old John Wilber Krouse was put in jail for allegedly threatening to kill a woman and break every bone in her body if she looked or talked to any other guy.
She was later found hiding in a restroom at Tops Market.
He’s still in jail on $10,000 bail.
