A Bradford Township man is facing charges for stealing campaign signs for city police sergeant Butch Bartlett, who was running for McKean County sheriff in May’s primary election.
20-year-old Sean McLaughlin is accused of stealing 88 signs and vinyl banners. He is charged with 88 misdemeanor counts each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and loitering and prowling at nighttime.
He hasn’t been arraigned yet.
Police found the signs stacked in and near his garage.
Dan Woods defeated Bartlett in the election.
