A Bradford man is accused of threatening to kill city police, state police and other state workers during an incident at his home when case workers were attending to his mother.
Court records say at about 10:30 this morning Michael Troupe was angry with the case workers, wouldn’t calm down and threatened them to the point that they were scared for their safety.
Referring to police he said he would “take them out,” and, if any of them showed their faces or handcuffs at his home he would “get them.” The court papers say he repeated the threats over and over. When the case workers left the house and went back to their workplace, Troupe called the office, spoke with one of them and continued to threaten to kill police.
Officers found him outside his Petrolia Street home and took him into custody. During an interview at the city station, Troupe told police he feels the case workers are out to get him. He also admitted to making threats to fight with police and run if they showed up, but denied saying he wanted to kill them.
Troupe was charged with terroristic threats and harassment, and then sent to McKean County Jail.
