A man has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $1,100 from Seneca Distribution on Chestnut Street after giving a two-week notice that he was leaving the job.
23-year-old Michael Miller of Ellicottville gave notice on September 29 but last showed up to work on October 3. But, he made purchases on the company credit card between October 1 and October 6.
On October 6, a relative of Miller’s who works for Seneca Distribution turned in Miller’s key fob and the credit card. A company supervisor contacted Miller about the unauthorized purchases and was told that if the company didn’t pay off the credit card, Miller would report them to the department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
Miller is scheduled for sentencing on August 14 in McKean County Court.
