Two men are in jail after state police stopped them for speeding on I-86, and soon learned they had drugs in the car, and weren’t even supposed to be driving the car.
State police say neither the driver, 33-year-old Billy Coleman of Binghamton, nor the passenger, 26-year-old Thomas Washington of Olean, had a valid driver’s license. Also, neither was on the rental agreement for the car.
As police were taking inventory in the car that had to be removed from the road, they found about 27 grams of heroin and several grams of marijuana.
They are in Allegany County Jail on $2,000 cash bail.
