A former Randolph man, who was serving as a missionary in Jamaica was found beaten to death Sunday. Jamaican police say that 53 year-old Harold Nichols was found dead behind some bushes in a rural area near St. Marys Parish in Jamaica. News reports indicate that his skull was crushed and his body was wrapped in barbed wire. Nichols, a former Randolph Children’s Home intake coordinator, and another missionary for the Pennsylvania-based Teams for Medical Missions were killed in similar fashion. He was a 1981 graduate of Salamanca High School who had a degree from Houghton College.
