Next Appeal Set for March

Jerry Sandusky’s next Post Conviction Relief Act hearing is scheduled for March 24 in Centre County Court.

A series of appeals hearings took place last year, but Judge John Cleland of McKean County, who had been presiding over the case, recused himself after Sandusky’s lawyers impugned his integrity.

Judge John Foradora of Jefferson County has been assigned to the case, and it will be up to him to decide if Sandusky should get a new trial.

In 2012, Cleland sentenced Sandusky to 30 to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing 10 boys.
