Two people are facing a number of charges after being caught with drugs and illegal fireworks on Interstate 86 in the Town of Ellicott.
State police say they stopped 37-year-old Jamey Dowd and 30-year-old Cassondra Morse, both of Cortland, New York, for having an unregistered trailer.
When interviewing Dowd, troopers noticed a strong odor of marihuana and with the assistance of K-9 officer Kubi, they found marijuana and cocaine, as well as three mortar-style fireworks.
Dowd and Morse and are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of fireworks and for having an unregistered trailer. They were released from jail after posting bail.
