The Steelers fell to the Carolina Panthers Thursday night 23-6 on WESB. The Steelers finished a listless preseason at 1-4. The Panthers outgained the Steelers 454-191 yards, including 226 yards on the ground. The Steelers only scores came on two field goals by Josh Scobee. The only real competition for a starting spot in Pittsburgh is at punter, where fellow Australians Brad Wing and Jordan Berry have been locked in a tight battle during training camp. Berry received the majority of the work in the finale, averaging 50 yards on five kicks with Wing’s one kick going 46 yards.
