The Ottawa Senators nipped the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday night in overtime winning 2-1. Nick Bonino scored for the Penguins. Matt Murray was a hardluck loser with 29 saves. Ottawa lost defenseman Marc Methot for an extended period of time after he took a slash from Pens captain Sidney Crsoby. Methot, who left the game with a bloodied and mangled finger on his left hand following a two-handed slash from Crosby. Crosby didn’t receive a penalty on the play. Methot grabbed Crosby by the jersey after the whistle and had a few words for Crosby before leaving the ice.
