The Penguins fell to the Islanders yesterday 3-1, falling behind 2 games to none in the NHL Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Erik Gudbranson scored the Pens’ only goal in the second period to give Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead, but the Islanders tied it up with one goal in the second period and went ahead with two goals in the third.
The Penguins will try to regroup as they take the day off before game 3 of the series happens in Pittsburgh tomorrow at noon.
