The Pittsburgh Pirates blanked the Milwaukee Brewers Monday night 1-0 on WESB. Trevor Williams and two relievers combined on a two hitter to get the Pirate win. Williams allowed just one hit with seven strikeouts in seven innings for his first victory in a month. Kyle Crick pitched a perfect eighth and Felipe Vazquez got his 14th save retiring three straight batters after allowing a leadoff single in the ninth. Jordy Mercer drove in the lone run with a seventh-inning double. The Pirates have now won four of their last five games.
