Pirates outfielder Austin Meadows has missed two straight games with what is believed to be an injury his right foot. Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle says that Meadows hit a ball off his foot during Sunday’s game. Meadows participated in pregame drills Tuesday, and he appeared as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning, but struck out with runners in scoring position. Meadows is hitting .341 with five home runs and 11 RBI. He was National League rookie of the month for May.
