Pitt Bradford senior catcher Austin Parent has been named to the 2019 D3Baseball All-America First Team. Parent is coming off a 2018 season where he grabbed both D3Baseball and American Baseball Coaches Association All-America First Team honors as well as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Year award. Parent started all 33 games and hit .496, which is the top batting average of any of the three NCAA levels in 2018. The nation’s top hitter also led the country with a .616 on-base percentage and was second nationally with a .916 slugging percentage. Pitt-Bradford opens the 2019 season on February 23 in New Market, Va., with a doubleheader against Wells.
