The names of the three people killed when two small planes collided Sunday morning just south of Buffalo have been released.
69-year-old Richard Walker and 69-year-old Kathleen Walker of Eden, New York, were in a Piper PA 28 while 60-year-old Paul Rosiek of Hamburg was piloting a Cessna 120.
NTSB investigators say they don’t know yet what caused the crash. They say the investigation could take up to a year, but they are expecting a preliminary report in about 10 days.
The Walkers and Rosiek were in a group of six planes headed from Hamburg to St. Marys, PA. The Erie County Sheriff’s Office say the group regular flew together, randomly picking a destination.
No one on the ground was hurt.
