A DuBois man accused of being a serial arsonist and setting numerous fires at a trailer court had his preliminary hearing yesterday.
23 year old Brady Burkett has been charged with arson, burglary, recklessly endangering another person and criminal trespassing in connection with a series of fires at vacant mobile homes and one shed between February 15th and May 30th.
During questioning, Burkett allegedly admitted to starting the fires because he was frustrated with not having a job, started drinking a lot of alcohol and was fighting with his girlfriend. Police say Burkett told them setting the fires was how he channeled his anger.
Four other burglary charges against Burkett were dismissed while the others were bound over.
Burkett is being held on $100,000, reduced from the $250,000 originally set.
