A woman is accused of stealing 27 prescription pills that were prescribed for her child.
Court records say an employee of Beacon Light on East Main called state police to say a child in their care had been with his mother, 32-year-old Deborah Bolles of Kane, and when he went back to the facility he was missing some pills used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Police say 14 pills were missing on January 22, and 13 pills were missing on January 29.
Police talked to Bolles on Wednesday and she said she no idea where the prescriptions were.
This afternoon, she was arraigned on a charge of theft by unlawful taking. She’s free after posting bail.
